21 DAYS

Updated: May 3, 2020

IT TAKES 21 DAYS FOR YOU TO CREATE A GOOD HABIT

The definition of the word HABIT is a routine of behavior that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously.

How does something become a habit? Consistency is a word that you must learn in order for you to make something become a habit. As the new year approaches we all have goals we want to reach. Millions of people around the world make New Year's resolutions every year. But by February those new year's resolutions are out the window.

All this leads to inconsistency in most individuals and leads to bad habits. Nobody wants to become the person who picks up bad habits and has no idea how to break them. Can you just go cold turkey and break the habit?

This might work for some people but a big percentage of people can't just go cold turkey. I believe it just doesn't work out. I also believe it's easier build bad habits than build good ones.

Building good habits take a lot of work to build. Just like anything in life, you get out what you put in. You can't lose that ten pounds in a month if you don't put work in on your diet on a daily basis. You won't finish that book if you're not taking the time to write everyday. I was taught that if you do something consistently everyday for twenty one days then it becomes a habit. It helped me with consistency and pretty much changed my life.

(Three Weeks is all it takes people)

Whatever you're trying to accomplish in 2020 is in your reach. Try a different approach for your New Year's resolution this year. It doesn't matter when you start to reach your goals. Just make sure you are trying to build good habits. Good things come to those who put in the work and the work must be put in on a daily basis. Test out your twenty one days and see how you feel after. This is the year that all great things your are working toward come your way. This is the time to leave bad habits in the last decade.
