One of the most important things in my life is appreciation. In the dictionary the word appreciation can be described as, recognition and enjoyment of the good qualities of someone or something. To recognize the good qualities in someone is truly an amazing thing. You actually show that person that they are worth your recognition. In today's society of social media we tend to forget about simple things like telling someone thank you for a nice gesture or complimenting our significant others. I take it upon myself daily to thank multiple people for the smallest things and make sure I tell my close loved ones that I appreciate them for all that they do. In doing this it not only makes them feel better but it also makes me feel good.
As a writer I have to thank people on a daily bases, not only in person but mostly on social media. I put a lot of time into my writing and to be honest people don't have to buy any one of my books. I express my appreciation in them for taking the time to not only purchase my work, but to spends hours reading it and writing a review on amazon. The above image shows a young fan of mine who took her time to write me on instagram and thank me for writing the first book of THE FIRE RAVEN series. We create these stories hoping people would like them and hoping someone would buy at least one copy. To many on instagram this looks like a simple post, but to me it gives me the motivation to keep writing and creating these stories from my disturbed mind. As you can see I commented on her page and appreciating her for taking the time to read the book and making this post. Tell someone in your life that you appreciate them and see how it feels afterward. I can guarantee it will put a smile on their face and yours.
