Why you should hate FRIDAY'S

We've all been in this same situation. Sitting at work looking at a clock that says 4:50 pm and packing up our shit ready to hit the nearest happy hour. What that last ten minutes represents is a whole weekend of unmotivated binge drinking caused by what I call THE CUBICLE SYNDROME. Now we all know someone who sits in a cubicle and hates their job and we all know people who sit in the same cubicle and love what they do (HOORAY FOR THEM). But what I've come to realize is that the people who passionately hate their 9 to 5's are the same people who are passionate about getting out of that cubicle.

Let me give you a short explanation on why I hate fridays. When you've set goals for yourself it's going to take longer than eight hour work days and free weekends to achieve that goal. You will have to work until 1AM sometimes to get things done and that means sacrificing good times on the weekends. Look at it this way: Success hurts in the beginning but feels better in the end.

The image above is of a man who is sitting in a cubicle visualizing a different life for himself. Is he seeing himself on a private jet or maybe his 100ft yacht. What he doesn't know is that in order for him to get that private jet and 100 ft yacht he has to HATE FRIDAYS. Why? The reason why is because those same people that own those jets and yachts don't have a chance to pack up their shit at 4:50 pm in Tucson, Arizona to get ready for 10 cent wings at your local wingspot. The people that own those jets and yachts don't do happy hours or watered-down margaritas. They spend their weekends working on their goal and that is to NOT SIT IN A CUBICLE. They will risk happy hours in their 20's and 30's in order to live on yachts in Cannes, France from their late 30's and on.

The guy in the picture above is someone who has missed many happy hours in his younger days. At one point he might have worked in a cubicle and I probably can make the assumption that he hated it. The point I'm getting to again is that if you are passionate about something and want to be successful you must be willing to sacrifice happy hours and weekends to get it. This guy looks extremely happy because he knows everything he sacrificed brought him to this point on his yacht with a Cuban cigar and a large glass of brandy.

So let me leave you with this, DON'T BE A SLAVE TO A CUBICLE and LEARN TO HATE FRIDAY'S and all those cliche HAPPY HOURS. Put in those extra hours to be rewarded in the long run, it will be worth it. HAVE A HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE.
