You ever heard the phrase WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES ANOTHER ONE OPENS? I'm sure every time you hear it you just want to roll your eyes. The truth about the phrase is that it is 100% accurate. We as humans don't handle rejection very well, and I really don't know a specific way to tell you how to handle any rejection that comes your way. What I can tell you not to do when you get rejected is to walk in a room, shut the door and close yourself off from the rest of the world. Some of us have used the same routine for more than 10 years of our lives and I think it's the perfect time to switch things up.
Have you ever been turned down from a job you looked at as your dream job? Or maybe you tried to ask a pretty girl on a date and she flat out said NO. What you do after that determines how you will feel for the next 48 hours or maybe even longer. After you've been rejected from that dream job offer have you had a better job offer come out of nowhere? Or maybe you went to the grocery store on a saturday and a pretty lady gave you a compliment while you're shopping. This is when the saying WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES ANOTHER ONE OPENS comes into play.
After I get rejected from anything I always say BETTER THINGS ARE COMING TO ME. That phrase has worked for me my whole life and I'm pretty sure that it can work for anyone. When something better comes to you this will help you be ready for it in any aspect of life. The I'M JUST GONNA GO HOME AND SULK routine doesn't do the mind and body any good and rejection does lead to a lot of stress. You owe it to yourself to try something new because you never know when a roadblock will come your way. It's best to be prepared for things like this and look for the positives when someone closes a door in your face. Remember that when someone says NO it's just a NO FOR THE MOMENT.
